Nuclear Cities Initiative Program
Novosoft-Zheleznogorsk began working with the US Department of Energy (DOE) and one of its multiprogram national laboratories Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in 2001 under the Nuclear Cities Initiative Program (NCI).
The NCI, as a Department of Energy program, is designed to reduce the threat of a "brain drain" by helping with economic diversification.
Through this program, PNNL jointly with the IDC established a software development center Novosoft-Zheleznogorsk. It has helped create high technology jobs for the displaced weapons workers.
Currently one of the major activities of Novosoft-Zheleznogorsk is customized software development.
Microsoft Empower
Novosoft-Zheleznogorsk has enrolled in the Microsoft Empower Program for ISV's.
This initiative is designed to help software vendors succeed in developing their software on the Microsoft platform.
This is very important step for the company. Being a member of this Partner Program the company has a number of benefits.
The use of Microsoft technologies will enable Novosoft-Zheleznogorsk to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
DataWeb
Novosoft-Zheleznogorsk and DataWeb Corporation have established business partnerships.
DataWeb is an independent network business application company located in Seattle, Washington. The primary function of the company is to bring secure business applications to the Internet for a variety of customers.
Both companies have reached an agreement to cooperate with each other in the sphere of Information Technologies (IT). Namely, Novosoft-Zheleznogorsk will take part in the joint projects as a software development company.
Currently, two companies are negotiating about an opportunity to promote one of the DataWeb's products called DocuSpot Document Management Portal in the Russian market.
